JAMES PRENTIS REA
Looking for parents and siblings of James Prentis Rea b. 1863, Beebe AR. m. Jocie Ann Thompson b. 1875, Louisville, KY. they had 4 children:
Lonah Rea b. Abt 1903, Little Rock, AR
Ophie Alcidean Rea (my grandmother)b.1907, Little Rock,AR
Paul Johnson Rea b. 1909, Little Rock, AR
Henry Berlin Rea b. 1911, Morgantown, WV
This family is full of disaster!! 1 year after Henry's birth Jocie contracted TB, to try to remedy the health situation James moved his family to TX. Acording to my grandmother Ophie Alcidean, Jocie got really bad so James put his 4 small children on a train and sent them to Jocie's sister Callie Jones in Morgantown, WV. Jocie died in 1914. I can't find any Death Cert. in AR. or TX. James never returned for his children! Callie raised Lonah, Ophie and Berlin, Paul was adopted by the Garrison family of Morgantown. Callie was quite a woman in my book!!! Lonah was the first to marry, Mr. Matheny. Lonah died in childbirth. They performed an emergency c-section to late. The child lived 6 hrs, then she joined her mother, Lonah and her child were buried together. A picture of their headstone in in the CEMETARY section of this site. If anyone can give any info on James or Jocie's parents it would be GREATLY appreciated!!!
Look for these 4 children in the PHOTO section!!!

4 THOMPSON SIBLINGS
Looking for the parents of 4 siblings:
William Clay Thompson b. 1874, Louisville, KY
Jocie Ann Thompson b. 1875, Louisville, KY
Callie Pernie (Polly) Thompson b.1883,Louisville, Ky
Ophie Thompson, b. Abt 1885?
William C. Thompson was an engineer on the railroad, according to Death Cert. I don't know if this family moved to Little Rock, AR with parents or without. William could have accepted responsibility for his sisters and moved them there.
This is pure conjecture on my part. On both Callie's and William's Death Cert. parents were UNK!! Any suggestions would be great!!!
